PEYTON'S BIRTH

  • Nov. 28th, 2006 at 12:09 AM

I decided to post a few pictures of Peyton while she is sleeping. I don't have the time, right now, to post the story of her birth, but here are the facts... Peyton Faye Martin was born on 10/17/06 at 12:03am. She was 8 pounds and 19 3/4 inches. I ended up having to have a c-section.

SCOTT AND KIM - 9 MONTHS PREGNANT

  • Oct. 7th, 2006 at 7:35 PM

Okay, I decided to get brave and post some pregnancy photos. Eileen took these on 10-05-06, I'm very swollen and I'm suppose to be on bed rest. I shouldn't even be at the computer right now, so this is the last time I will post until the baby is born!!

PUMPKIN'S 3D ULTRASOUND AT 31 1/2 WEEKS

  • Aug. 20th, 2006 at 7:00 PM

Scott and I went to A Stork's View to have the 3D ultrasound done on Saturday 08/19/06. Pumpkin has chubby cheeks and a small chin... just like me when I was little. Below are some pictures, I think you can see it better on the DVD but these are pretty cool.

PICTURES

Okay, I uploaded the pictures from the camera and posted them all by myself. Now I just have to figure out how to make them bigger!

HOSPITAL TOUR

  • Aug. 12th, 2006 at 7:48 PM

Scott and I went on the hospital tour Thursday. I was already familiar with it because my sister-in-law, Amanda had her son there in December. Scott, his son and a lot of his family were born there so he knew the layout. It is starting to feel real now! We start our childbirth classes and I start my 8th month next week. Only 2 months to go!

I still want to post some pictures on here but I need Scott to show me how to download the pictures from our digital camera. I got it for Christmas but still don't know how to do everything.

I can't write too much because of the numbness in my right hand, I think this pregnancy has caused carpal tunnel. It's really bad when I sleep, I wake up all the time because of it. Of course, I can't really take anything helpful because of the pregnancy. Oh well, I guess that's life, I'm just grateful to be having a little pumpkin soon.

GOOD NEWS TODAY!

  • Jul. 26th, 2006 at 8:32 PM

Just a quick note to say I passed my 3 hour glucose test!! The doctor said I should have a sundae to celebrate. Now I have to start going to the doctor every 2 weeks, then every week once I reach 36 weeks.
I guess it won't be long now.

That's all for now....

WE PAINTED THE BABY'S ROOM!

  • Jul. 25th, 2006 at 7:07 PM

My Mom and Ray helped me paint and put up the boarder in the baby's room this past weekend. My Dad put up the new ceiling fan. Scott got out of it because he went out of town with Nick... I saved the new blinds for him though!! I also ordered the furniture and to get out of paying shipping I had the store order it... the only downside is it can take up to 8-12 weeks to get here (I'm due in 12 weeks). Well at least the baby will have a place to sleep. I will try to get some pictures of the room put up here soon.

Now the bad news. I failed my 1 hour glucose test, so I had to go back and take the 3 hour test. They take your blood when you get there, then you drink and even SWEETER orange drink, wait an hr, get your blood taken, wait another hour, get your blood taken, and wait yet another hour and have your blood taken a fourth time! The 1st two times didn't hurt but she wasn't sure if she could find the vein in my right arm so she stuck me a 3rd time in my left arm and that hurt A LOT. The 4th time an older lady took it because the first one went to lunch, she managed to find the vein in my right arm so it wasn't as bad. Tomorrow I go to my doctor's appointment and will find out the results. PRAY THAT I PASS THIS ONE!!! They also told me I have low iron so I will have to take iron pills. Other then that everything is going great with the Pumpkin. She has been moving quite a lot, I can tell she is getting bigger... I'm 28 weeks today! I think I'm doing pretty good, my weight fluctuates a little but I've only gained about 15-17 pounds. I still have the entire 3rd trimester to go though...

WE GOT OUR CRIB

  • Jul. 13th, 2006 at 4:30 PM

I FEEL LIKE I'M FINALLY GETTING THINGS DONE...
I registered at Baby's R Us on Sunday and we got our crib monday! Scott called his mom to ask if he could borrow her truck and she offered to buy it for us (she bought the mattress too). I think we are going to order the dresser tonight on-line. My mom and Ray are going to help me paint the baby's room soon. Scott and I need to figure out where to put the rest of the boxes we have stored in there, unfortunately this house doesn't have a lot of storage space.

Yesterday I had the glucose test, they make all pregnant women take it now. I had to drink this orange flavored stuff then sit there for an hour before I had my blood taken. It was so much fun!! I got there at 6:30am so I could do it before work. I hope I pass because if you don't you have to do another one but you drink more stuff and have to have your blood taken every hour for 3 hours.

Scott's birthday is tomorrow, we will probably go out to dinner. I guess birthdays aren't that exciting when your in your 30's!

Itchatucknee

  • Jul. 5th, 2006 at 4:49 PM

Scott, Nick, JJ, Amanda, Justin, Amanda (sister), her boyfriend John and I went to Itchatucknee (not sure how to spell it!) on Saturaday. We tied all our tubes, boats, etc together so we wouldn't lose each other. We had a pretty good time. After we all went to Amanda's sister's weekend house to cookout. They all rode the go-cart but I skipped it because of Pumpkin, then they shot off fireworks. I had a fun but we didn't get home until 1:30am. They said we could stay there but I really wanted to sleep in my own bed, maybe we'll stay the night when I'm not pregnant!

Not much happened on the 4th, Scott had to work and I went to my parents for a little while. This weekend I'll probably register for the baby!! I also need to drag Scott out to buy a crib and dresser soon.

Changing it up a little

Okay, I added the pictures and I also changed the theme. So, is this theme okay or should I try something different?
